What is Bands in the Sands?
A brand new series of events, set on the beautiful golden sands of Perranporth beach in Cornwall. With a sea view as a stunning backdrop, sand at your feet & the sun on your back, these events will be truly unique. Where else could you enjoy an ice cold beverage a stone’s throw away from the majestic Atlantic ocean?
Born from the incredible live music that has been happening at The Watering Hole, the UK’s only venue on a beach and the organisers of Tunes in the Dunes festival. This is a first of its kind series of events in Perranporth, not to be missed.
Major headline acts will be getting announced over the lead up to the series of events. With national & international stars strutting their talents alongside sands where St Piran patrolled & Poldark novels were written.

Bands in the Sands events are held at The Watering Hole, right on the beach at Perranporth – it doesn’t get much better than that!

WHAT ARE THE OPENING TIMES?
18:00 – 23:00 for the outside intimate shows and afterparties carry on from 23:00 – 02:00.
WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GET THERE?
Once you’ve parked up, walk onto Perranporth beach and cross the bridge to the main part of the beach. You’ll be able to see the venue at the Watering Hole. YOU MUST GET A WRISTBAND FROM THE TICKET BOOTH. The ticket booth is located in a little hut on the beach, between the bridge and the Watering Hole – right next to an ice cream hut (you can’t miss it!)
WHERE IS THE PARKING?
There are various public car parks in Perranporth within walking distance of the beach. We have also arranged parking behind Perranporth Rugby club.
CAN I GET A BUS TO THE EVENTS?
Please contact A2B taxis for bus and taxi bookings. If enough people from one area need a bus, then they will provide one, otherwise it will be a case of using local public transport, please check First Group for time tables to and from Perranporth.
CAN I BUY FOOD?
A wide selection of food will be available from the events themselves from the time of opening to closing.
CAN I BRING MY OWN DRINKS INTO THE ARENA?
No alcohol is to be brought to the arena. A fully licensed bar will be serving alcoholic and soft beverages. A strict challenge 25 policy will be in operation.
ARE UNDER 18’S ALLOWED IN THE ARENA?
Under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Strictly no alcohol for under 18’s.
ARE THERE ANY AFTER PARTIES?
Each night an after party will be held at The Watering Hole on Perranporth Beach. These will be free for ticket holders, starting at 11pm- 2am
IS THERE DISABLED ACCESS?
The event is held on the beach, with soft sand, there is no vehicular access, so appropriate wheelchairs must be used to access the site.. Disabled toilets will be on site. If needed the watering hole team will be able to assist with transportation.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Unfortunately, dogs will NOT be allowed into the venue on the night.

Will take groups, families and couples. A five minute walk to the beach, takes caravans, touring tents, hook ups. Open Easter to October with the price range varying between £8-£18.

At the top of the hill overlooking the sand dunes. Will take families, mixed sex groups, couples. A nice 20 minute walk away through the sand dunes or a short taxi ride.

Will take families and couples. If you are looking for a nice peaceful area, slightly out the way from the hub of the festival, try Perran Springs, it is about three miles away situated in Goonhavern.
