TV presenter and celebrated pianist Jools Holland brings his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to Cornwall on Thursday, June 28.
Featuring former Squeeze drummer Gilson Lavis as well as guest vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Rosie Mae, the real draw for Cornish music fans will be special guest Marc Almond.
Best known for fronting synthpop duo Soft Cell – who play their last ever concert at London’s O2 later this year – Marc has also had a diverse career as a solo artist, including a No 1 with Something’s Gotten Hold Of My Heart as well as the acclaimed, cult band Marc and the Mambas.
Marc Almond is returning to Cornwall
His last appearance at Truro’s Hall For Cornwall in 2011 was very special, so it will be great to see him singing in the county again especially at such an intimate venue. We imagine there will be a rendition of Tainted Love.
